What if there are no speed dating events in my area?

I booked an event but I can’t attend it on that night anymore...

At Finding Mary and Terry you can change your event date up to 3 days before the event. You can always get a friend to take your place as long your mate is the same gender as you and fits in the same age category as you, but let us know if you are planning doing so.

What is the dress code for the speed dating events?

Most of our speed dating events are held in the hottest venues therefore the dress code should match: dress to look the best. Elegant and sexy is how we describe the majority of our participants. If you need more help with what to wear why not have a look at our dating tips.

What will happen in D-night?

In the majority of our speed dating events our Finding Mary and Terry staff will greet you, give your name tag and show you around. We will encourage you to chat with participants of the same sex as you check out your future dates. We also think it adds to the excitement if you use non-verbal flirting, smiling and eye contact work wonders. .. Our staff will then show you your sit and the date will officially start. You have 4 minutes with each date, which is plenty of time to know which dates you would like to see again. Also if you not remotely interested after 4 minutes you don’t have to see that date ever again! Great!  During the event you will be given a card where you write which dates you would like to see again. At the end of the speed dating event we collect all the cards and if the feeling is mutual we will let you know the following day. Your first name and email address will be given to your matches. You can mark down as many dates you would like to see again.

What if I have no matches?

If you have no matches under the ‘no match guarantee’ we will make sure you get to attend another speed dating event for free.
